There is nothing to dislike. It was easy to get to due to the Trans-Canadian Hwy. Many travelers stop in Banff or/and Lake Louise. Two very nice towns.I think the additional 45 minutes if you are coming that direction is worth it.

Takakkaw Falls, Natural Bridge, Emerald Lake...Definitely worth taking the day to explore. Some great hikes, stunning pictures, lakes.
Yoho boasts some really interesting mountainscapes, and there is a lot to do in the park, whether you have a week, a few days, or just a few hours. From the highway, you can visit the spiral tunnels museum, then head into the quaint town of field for some lunch (or a freshly ground and brewed coffee). If you are...

Perhaps overlooked by visitors to more famous nearby Banff National Park, this is an exquisite park in an incredibly spiritual setting. From the friendly folks at Field (get the Parks Canada pass if you plan to spend any time visiting the Rocky Mountain parks) to the wildlife and indecribible natural beauty of the Canadian Rockies, this is a magical place!...

Apparently, the meaning of Takakaw is "Wow!" Very appropriate. This is one of the most enjoyable parks to visit. As some other reviewers have pointed out, it is less crowded with tourists, and so is more of a wilderness experience.
If driving in the wilderness is your thing then this Park is a "must do". The diversity of the topography and the numerous mt. peaks of such beauty should not be missed.
This summer, our family took a road trip through the Canadian Rockies visiting Glacier, Revelstoke, Yoho, Banff, and Jasper National Parks. For us, Yoho was far and away the best of the bunch - much less crowded, with great camping and hiking. The other Canadian Parks tend to be very touristy. Skip Banff and head to Yoho!
In my opinion, this park is great for people that love nature, contemplation, hiking, exploring, and photography... oh! and great memories with family and loved ones. There are just some amazing views! I recommend to start your visit at Field's Visitor center. I also highly recommend Field for lodging unless you are camping or traveling in an RV. Field was...

I visited Field on Sept 23rd on the way to Revelstoke. I drop in to get some info of the area.
While inside the information I took some pictures of the center inside. I must had accidently included one of the staff in my photo taking. I suddenly heard a loud voice in a really rude manner from one of...

Nice places to hike and scenery to take in. Lots of camping areas great fishing spots. If you go for a hike in some places you can get away from other people so you can still have your privacy.
