Fernie is an awesome place to ski. Lots of terrain for anyone from beginner to advanced skiers/boarders. Conditions can be mixed, the thing with Fernie is it will usually be amazing or very rainy and wet (in which case sometimes they close down most of the mountain because of huge avalanches coming down everywhere), but occasionally it will be 'normal'.... Loved the mountain and the 100" base that accumulated this season. I went to two other resorts this season and snow at Fernie was different. Even on the groomers had no man made icy patches where your skis loose their bite. We visited the last week of March and the first three days were great with a 26" dump two... More

Was lucky enough to score a few powder days and had some of the best days of riding ever. Fernie has some amazing terrain with a bit of everything to offer. love how quiet it is through the week too.

Spent five days in Fernie in second week of March. Mild weather with low cloud and rain meant slush and poor visibility, so overall disappointing as it did not live up to its reputation as ski destination. If one can't ski/board there is bugger all else to do here! Staff at the resort were generally helpful and enthusiastic, with the... More

Awesome town, legendary resort. To be honest this is my second season here and the snow conditions where great at times, tho would have been nice to get some more snow toward the back end of the winter months. Last years season was Pow Day after Pow day. Resort has all Types of terrain for beginners up to steep cliff... More

Loved the pow. Never ridden anything like it. The tree riding is the best i have ever had, Couldn't really be bothered with all the traversing and if the snow isn't on the groomed runs are a bit dull.

Absolutely loved my time here. Even though we visited during a bit of a dry spell in terms of snow fall, the cold base and the versatile terrain kept me entertained. My skiing improved greatly and I cannot wait to return! Loved this place so, so, so much! There was plenty to offer all levels of skiers and boarders and... More
