On a beautiful day this park is stunning. The ocean walks and views followed by the artifacts makes for a beautiful day. Out of the way so pack all you need for the whole day.
Many well maintained hiking trails, great West Coast experience. I hike in the park 3 days a week and never get tired of the forest, views and trails.
Good example of an old farm on the island. Great access to the beach and best place to finish the hike.
It's a great place, I wish I had visited it sooner. I've lived here for several years but only went out of the way to find it two years ago. If you want an easy day, just walk through the meadow and hang out at the nearby little beach. If you want a good hike there's rough and beautiful trails...

Went our last day in Sooke & so glad we didn't miss it! It was so peaceful, we sat for an hour just watching the ocean until the sun started to set. I was lovely.
Gorgeous white sand, very quiet, great for kids, not a terribly far drive. Perfect place to picnic and relax on the beach!
We did an excellent coastal walk in this area - challenging but good coastal views and the arbutus trees which grow in this area were fascinating. Lots of wild flowers and wildlife to see both in the forest and on the coast.
