The dinosaur topics were specific to Alberta, and in particular, Drumheller. Afterall, trying to cover hundreds of millions of years all over the world would be impossible. The tickets were very reasonably priced ($12 each). Don't get lost finding the place, it is 10min or so out of downtown Drumheller. Although well posted we first accidentally ended up at the... More

Very well presented indeed. There was the wow factor in many of the exhibition halls. Although not a subject that normally appeals to me, but I was bowled over by it. If there is a downside, then it has to be the Cafe. Limited choice & the guy serving was pretty clueless. It was virtually empty at 1pm yet the... More

We went to the museum with 8-year-old son who loves Dinosaurs. It was the second time we went there.there are a lot of dinosaurs fossils and facts, it is a really educational place. They have special activities during the summer but when we visited the museum this time, there were not any of them. I guess it is better to... More

We went to the museum without any real expectations, boy were we surprised. We marveled at the history within the museum and also at the ability of people to recognize that what they were looking at was of great significance.

We went to this museum at least once a year in the Summer and never got bored. So fascinating and so much to learn. Staffs were very friendly as well. The exhibits were very well maintained and very educational. They also did a great job keeping young minds engaged. They have pretty limited lunch menu, so I highly recommend packing... More

I knew this place would be nice, but it was amazing!! Go 1st thing - it gets VERY busy and the parking lots fill up (but they have people helping). I loved walking around! Things to see for all ages. Outside there are walking paths to enjoy the sights. I didn't like walking through the very cramped & surprising small... More

I love this place. It has the right mix of exhibits that appeals to all ages. From the walk through exhibits, to some great video clips, to some artistic exhibits, and then being able to see the people working in the back cleaning bones or making molds. It's all very fascinating. one thing that struck me is the exhibit titles/explanations... More

This is a world class museum. Anyone lucky enough to be able to come here is in for a great experience. Drumheller is a bit of a hike from Calgary, but this museum and the beautiful surroundings make it worth your while. Every staff member we spoke to was amazing, which is not a statement which should be taken lightly.... More

We went because our son loves dinosaurs, but the whole family thought this was fabulous. There was something for all ages. Favourite areas were local fossils with the story of their discovery and the huge collection of skeletons towards the end, but it was all wonderful. We wish we'd been there in summer to do some of the outdoor things,... More

We make a point to visit this museum every year! We live/grew up in a neighbouring city and have watched the museum transform over the years. It is nothing short of amazing. If you are going to go to the museum and live far away, I would recommend staying the night in Drumhellar and viewing all the amazing things the... More
