Stunning place and only a short easy 30 min hike from the parking area, well worth it! It is also easily accessible from Canmore - a short 10 min drive from the town centre.

Do this walk if nothing else. The slightly harder route isnt really that difficult but well worth doing. Once at the lakes the colour is beautiful and the views superb. A interesting location with all the rock climbers and so close to Canmore.

Go up the left side which is steeper but better views. Can come down the easier side for speed. Good views of rock climbers.

Beautiful area: such a nice, easy, short hike to do. Love the lakes and climbing activities; we have hiked this area several times as a couple but most recently in a large group of friends. Trail is marked nicely, but please remember to be courteous on some of the narrow incline paths; I was pushed from the path and scraped... More

We recently completed this hike as a group of 4 in April 2013 and had a wonderful time. The surroundings are gorgeous and there are a ton of great photo opportunities, especially when you reach the top of the trail. We saw no wildlife along the way, but still wouldn't hike here without bear spray. The trail does have some... More

Easy walk, fantastic views, place with history and surely so meditative if you are lucky to have not too many people around!

My husband, 19 yo daughter and I took this hike before heading over to the Oh Canada! Eh? dinner show. It was the perfect way to spend a couple of hours. We even got to see a rock climbing club! This is a relatively easy walk that was enjoyed by people of all ages on the day that we went.

There are two ways to access Grassi Lakes. One is a relatively easy walk up an old roadway access, the other a more strenuous hike through the woods and up rocky stairs to the lakes. The views are amazing!

This is a wonderful hike that you can do 2ways. An easy route, wide path and gradual walk up, but no scenery. The other route can be a little more challenging, view of the Bow Valley is stunning, the steps can be challenging but a much better way to go to get to the top. A full, loop starting on the... More

Grassi lakes was a quick hike to a beautiful cove of bright green water. The trails were sparse so we were able to enjoy without any noise to distract from the views. It's an easy hike and definitely worth the time if you're in the area.
