The streets and buildings are quaint. The stores can be touristy however there are number of nice art galleries. There is also a clock tower that you can climb.

Lovely harbourside park and walks with great views of the St Lawrence river and wonderful old buildings Great day
Relax, enjoy one of the many food vendors or sit on the patio at one of the nearby restaurants. You don’t need a particular address to go to or a show time to make to get the most out of this location. Beautiful buildings on one side and the history of the old port on the other, this is a...

after a long flight the best thing to relax! it was wonderful to see that green places are very close to the centre of montréal! even good for taking a walk, relax and enjoy the calm!
We had a walk along the docks and piers, it is a wonderful way to spend a few hours sightseeing and spent some time in the marketplace. Well worth the walk.

I arrived quite early in Old Montreal so went down to the Quays to pass some time. Some lovely views for photos, a very nice blending of the old and new in terms of architecture and activities. Family friendly, bike accessible, and a great place to just relax for a bit.
We had a few folks in our family group that are into the maritime history, so we spent time at this. We did not travel with children, but those we saw did not seem to be having a good time.
