I was enticed in by the promise of a design that imitated St. Peter's Basilica, and true enough, the interior is a loose parallel. Those who love the exuberance of St Peter's Basilica will be sorely disappointed by the relative chill of the decor. Frankly, the decoration even borders on cartoon reduction of Vatican City's treasure. Still, as a place... More

This church has a very interesting history and a remarkable interior and should be visited. If you are catholic and want to go to services in english, I suggest St.Patrick's Basilica. Doug

This church is just astounding! You almost feel like you are in heaven. It is so beautiful! The ceilings were amazinly decorated, with every detail in mind. I just love sitting there and looking around the walls and ceilings.

The blue color in the nifgt is certainly here to remember the blue color of the "altar"... The interior is magnificent and the "colored" wood makes the "experience" strange.

This church is a scale model of St. Peter's Basilica in Rome, and the third largest church in Quebec. In 2006, the cathedral was designated a National Historic Site of Canada. It was built at the end of the 19th century and is the seat of the Roman Catholic archdiocese of Montreal. The front of the church is topped by... More

Until you enter the church you don't realize the beauty of this place. Being in the same model of St. peter's Basilica in Rome this place is awesome.

Visited with friends who are Catholic and they enjoyed both its sombre quiet and its beautiful architecture. I hate paying to enter a church but its not a high cost and its worth the visit if you are Catholic.

Decoration is very nice (but needs some restoration), the atmosphere though is very calm and serene. Take 5 minutes and sit down on one of the benches, breath in the smell of a hundred years (+) of burning incense and candles. When you step out you will be in the bustling city again.
