This free attraction allows visitors to follow the parade to Parliament Hill and watch the changing of the guard. If you do not want to follow parade you can watch the main show at the hill.

In the summer in Ottawa, this is a must do. Amazing Canadian experience to hear the band and see the marching. Come early to get a good spot. After the changing of the guard, do the tour of the parliament buildings!

It's pretty cool that with how much the times of changes, a tradition such as this still exists. Once you see this, there are plenty of other things to do in the area, so it's easy to make a day of it and do a bunch of stuff.

We followed the band each morning we were there. The music was exciting nd the air full of electricity.

It's fun and will give you a taste of Government tourist attraction at it's best. Sometimes you can have your picture taken with them. Enjoy.

This is well worth a stop in your day. We were lucky enough to see this as part of a walking tour, the sun was shining, the guards performed beautifully......it's pageantry at its finest.
