This designated historic site is fascinating to visit at any time. The sunset ceremonies which, in 2013 took place on Wed. and Sat. evenings during the summer, are fantastic!!
The shows on Saturday nights are magnificent. They have dinners with the members as servers, as well the U.S. Marine Drill Team come every second year for a great displace of drills and marching.
As a visitor to Kingston - or as a resident, you just MUST SEE at least one Sunset Ceremony at Kingston's Fort Henry ! It's a well-performed, historic and memorable (family) summer event !
A must see when visiting Kingston. Full of history and great views of Kingston! Eating in the Officer's mess is like taking a step back in time!

If you can catch the US Marine Corps Silent Drill when they are at the Fort it is spectacular how they handle the rifles. We were there some time ago but I put down August for our visit. Fort Henry and Kingston itself are a massive part of Canadian history. Fort Henry will bring you back to the olden days, with military parades and re-enactments. This is probably the most significant tourist attraction in Kingston. Visit day or night although I like night visits the best. The sunset ceremony at Fort Henry is a must see for everyone, young and not so young! I can't believe that people who've lived in Kingston their entire lives wait until they have visitors before they book a visit !!!
Fort Henry is a great family site to visit, from the canons to the historical loos, alot fun for everyone.
