the place is stuffy and the staff unfirendly. went to a tribute concert here and we were told repeatedly not to get up and clap or dance or sway to the music - how dumb is that, isn't that why you go to a concert? The venue is gorgeous - they have donbe a great job of restoring it but... More

This proved to be the right venue for the recent Bowfire concert. The theatre and public rooms were adequate for the crowd, and it was easy to mingle with other attendees in the public spaces. The sight lines were excellent and the acoustics good. Leg room in the balcony was a problem and the sound mixing sometimes overemphasized the percussion.... More

I recently attended a musical event at the Grand. It was excellent. Volunteer staff assist with seating, a small bar is available at the interval and the whole venue is pleasantly decorated and clean. Acoustics are fine and downstairs seating is comfortable, offering excellent views from all areas. One major word of warning though. Anyone larger than a toddler will... More

Concerts at the Grand are always great acoustically. Not a bad seat in the house, but up front is the best, seats are comfortable.

Completely refurbished. Good acoustics. Offers a wide range of performing artists in dance, choral singing, acting, and music. Because of its proximity to Toronto, Montreal and Ottawa, Kingston hosts acts on tour from all over the world, which often stop here for one performance. Refreshments at intermission, parking out the back door..

I truly love the Grand and the selection of shows. Though somewhat small of a theater, the view from all seats is great. I like the options of shows and the refurbishment of the theater is nice.

How could so much TAXPAYERS money be spent on such an uncomfortable / inaccessible Public place for the ARTS. Most unfortunate investment that fails to provide the Community with "OPPORTUNITIES" for Presentations / Parties / Amateur use

We attended a performance a week ago and while the show was well done I found the seating very uncomfortable. We sat in the balcony and found it impossible to sit straight up without our knees hitting the chair in front of us. I was not alone in my observation as several other patrons were also making comments as to... More

Saw Kathleen Edwards here September 2012. Acoustics were amazing. Checked sound and sight lines from downstairs and balcony, and ended up in a box just above and off the stage. Not a bad seat in the house. Also, as a taller and larger than average man (6'3" and maybe 230lbs) I was REALLY pleased with the legroom afforded in the... More

Great local volunteer community theater. The production of "Bedroom ??" was hilarious. I laughed for two hours! The seats are great. The theater is clean and comfortable. The acoustics were great. The price was right!! Thanks to all who volunteer to put this on. Do not miss a Domino Theater performance.
