The curation is excellent and definitely helps to bring the art alive for both those who know little about art as well as those are well-versed. While the art is obviously not as well known as the European masters since it is Canadiana, the curation stands out and compares favourably with international galleries such as the Kunsthistoriche in Vienna or... I really enjoyed the exhibits at the AGH, especially because they featured local/Canadian artists. Not a large gallery, but well curated. Will be back for more!

Never been to the remodeled AGH and was very impressed. Lobby to exhibit halls to bathrooms, the whole place shows pride of design and workmanship. very well though out halls.

While it is right downtown and across from a major hotel, it would be easy to miss this destination as it has not much street presence to grab a motorist. Easy parking, lots of nice restaurants nearby and the art displays are trendy with an eye to a broad public appeal in a city where the art scene is growing... More

I wanted something to do to entertain my parents who were visiting so we went to the gallery and it was nice. They have a great gift shop that has some truly unique, funny, fascinating gifts and decorations. I still want to go back and not necessarily even have to go into the gallery again, but just to go to... More

Exposition is really very very small. However provided there's some international installation, this place is definitely worth visiting for those who loves art.

Every so often the AGH get world class exhibits. This month they had a Napolion exhibit, very well done. So we also decided to see the rest of the museum, and yes like all museums there are a few rooms you can say "is this worth an exhibit?". So we walked to the next room and we saw a semi-permanent... I found the bright features of the building inviting and spoke of art when I walked into the place. A friendly receptionist welcomed me and pointed the way to the collections. I went for the Emily Carr collection and I was not disappointed. It was a loaner and great art from one of the Group of Seven. On permanent display... More

An amazing art gallery, cafe and gift shop. Lots of wonderful pieces of hanging art and sculptures. Traveling exhibits come to Hamilton as well. And on the top floor, the Bruegel-Bosch Bus .. which even the kids will love. Changing exhibits. Guided tours Sundays at 2 p.m. Film festivals, lectures too. http://www.artgalleryofhamilton.com/

Hamilton's Art Gallery is a fabulous place to see see and do. The cost is reasonable and there is lots to do, and to view.
