Best place to catch an open air concert while taking in the wonderful architecture of the lovely older buildings. An easy walk from downtown, with lots of small shops and eateries along the way.

This is where Victoria began in 1843 although the old fort is long gone. Several good cafes, the Victoria Maritime Museum, a decent pub and, on weekends in the summer, a craft market. Plus a great view of Victoria Harbour

Apparently they are supposed to have many vendors and live entertainers but every time I have gone they never have, have them? Cute brick building with varied vendors inside though.

Found this on our way to the Maritime Museum. We spent some time walking around and seeing what was there. Very nice not to have to dodge cars. Looking forward to going back when the weather is warmer to sit outside and enjoy lunch.

Our trip to Victoria wouldn't be complete without a stroll through Bastion Square. For us it was a great way to explore new options for food or shopping.

I love going here for a visit , downtown area is lovely at night, lots of shops to look in, you can walk every where, lots of nice pubs and restarants in this area

We were here on a Sunday when there is a regular street market - all the usual stuff but some good food and a great atomosphere

Bastion Square is pleasant place to visit when in downtown Victoria. Has eclectic restaurants, food vendors, and Maritime Museum. Visited with the family and everyone enjoyed something about this area of town. Would sugggest having the chocolate covered fruits on the street cart or coffee from the cafe. Great place to sit, relax, and people watch!!

Love the merchants that line the square in the summer time. They are talented, have great prices, always friendly and lots of outside restaurants to enjoy the inner harbour.
