Edmonton puts its city hall to good use, from the piped music from local artists, to great free concerts, to important community meetings... In the winter, the glass windows create an urban oasis, and in the summer, the front doorstep (Churchill Square) becomes the center of so many events and festivals.

I visited our local city councilor and I was pleased to see the use of our tax resources for such a useful, spacious and attractive facility for Edmonton.

I like the fact that it is free to go in & walk around and the water feature outside in the summer is also free. Parking is NOT. LRT takes you downtown - but rush hour times & late at night avoid the LRT there.

The main hall under the pyramid is used for many functions. The reflecting pool outside the main entrance has an elegant fountain, and that area is a public skating rink in the winter.

In an attempt to impress it looks like a big, cold waste of space. It does not resemble a city hall in any way.

When you take you 2 year old around town for his Birthday just to hang out with dad and get "cultured", you don't expect to run into "the man", Mayor Mandel in the parking lot of City Hall, but we did... 5 stars for you

Interesting architecture in this building and there is usually always something going on there. It is right in the heart of the city; dead centre of downtown and surrounded by shopping, library and concert halls; lots of restaurants nearby.

The pyramid looks great with lots of light from the glass. Good thing it wasn't designed like an igloo, which might be more appropriate for a northern city with 8 months of winter!

To be clear, I'm giving City Hall - The Building an average review. City Hall - The Government is a whole other review, probably Terrible or Poor in my opinion. There's not much to see there, but if you get trapped in -30 weather during one of the cities' winter events, you can step in here to warm up, and... More

it is a great place in summer or winter, the kids can play in the water and then go skating in the winter, lots of local events are held in front of city haall so it is a very central hub for many things
