The water flow was low, fingers of water running down the falls. Situated behind the Banff Springs Fairmont Hotel. A must see if in Banff. Spectacular views of the falls, downstream river, and mountains in the background!

Amazing waterfalls! Nice to go in Summer time where waters are free flowing. Nothing much to do here except taking pictures.

We loved this Hike! It's perfect for the day you arrive and just want to explore around town a little bit. As it is quick and easy to get to. It you go past town and turn left after the bridge there is a trail that runs along the river, it's super quiet and very beautiful. But be warned towards... More

Hard pressed to call these falls. But I am spoiled by having visited Yosemite and Oregon's Multnomah Falls. Seemed awful small low in height.

I walked both the Bow falls trail and the Tunnel Mountain round, frm both you get fantastic views Bow Falls is the easier walk, and when you feel you have earned it after admiring the falls you can walk up the steps behind to the Fairmont Hotel and get a meal or just coffee and cake - if you want,... Nothing to dislike. Was amazing to see in a winter setting. I've been to Banff so many times and never made it to the falls - will definitely come back. Really would like to see in the summer.

In the past 18 months we have visited Bow Falls on three different occassions while visiting Banff. Once in October, once in January, and once in April. Each time was great and the falls were beautiful (for different reasons) at each time of year. The falls are an easy walk from Banff itself and from the Fairmont Banff Springs Hotel,... More

Whether you walk down from the bridge.to the final plunge or simply drive down to the end, everyone visiting Banff should have a few moments to admire Bow Falls. Walk up from the parking area (below the Banff Springs Hotel) to get a full vista of the rapids before the final falls. I think the view is better from the... More
