The museum does a great job of bringing the history of Baja to life. Had a great afternoon there. The displays are in English and Spanish with prehistory as well as post Spanish occupation.

Not the best museum but it is definately worth a look. Lots of pictures and diaramas on three floors, which for the most part are well done. Its a beautiful building in an old part of town its historical and a good way to beat the heat. It can be an eye opener when you think of how many times these people had to fight for their independance. I do love this culture.

gift shop kept very irregular hours- it was hard to purchase an item we had liked and should have bought at the time. When we went back to buy it the shop was always closed.

Really takes you back to beginning of Mexico, esp. Baja areas & what life was like, most interesting was the sealife that were & or are in the Bay of La Paz

This is a great (if small) museum that covers the sweep of history from the geologic formation of the Baja peninsula to the prehistoric animals and people to the more recent days of Spanish exploration up to today.
