Located behind the Maui Prince Hotel. There is a good amount of parking spots if you enter on road on south side of hotel. Then walk down a gentle. paved sloping walkway a short distance to sand. Wide, sandy beach with clean restrooms and changing area. No refreshments, so bring your cooler. Easy, sandy access to water with snorkeling to... More

We walked the beach every morning to watch a local dog dig in the sand for crabs. It started our morning off with a smile, it was adorable. The beach is secluded and feels more like a private beach. There is also a great spot for snorkeling.

The first time we went to Maluaka Beach the water wasn't very clear, but we didn't let that keep us from going back the next day. The second time we went to the beach, it took us a bit to find the turtles, but on the swim out to where the turtles like to sleep, eat, and hang out, there... More

This a great long beach for walks. There are Life Guards, and there are often vendors in the parking lots.

We snorkeled here three time on last trip to Maui. There were charter boats anchored not too far from the beach, the reason is lots of turtles to be seen. One day it was windy and it made the water a bit murky. We will return in the fall of 2013 for more fun in the sun.

This spot gets referred to as Turtle Town and many of the charters bring people to this spot. It's a bit tricky to get to but it's worth it if you like snorkeling. The coral here is very alive and varied though no fans. You can snorkel in 3 - 25 feet of water. There are plenty of fish and... More

Great place to snorkel and play in the waves. Waves don't get too big, most of the time. The sand is some of the softest on the island.

Waters warm, clear, full of life---fish, turtles, beautiful coral. Waters calmest in the morning. Other people on the beach happy to supply information and offer suggestions.
