We travelled from North Palmetto to purchase the "catch of the day" and were not disappointed. There was plenty of conch and grouper. The fisherman also filleted the fish for us. Great time, delicious fish!

Small little town with a dock where the fisherman come in. The lobster was less expensive than in Governours Harbour, ask for James! The town is very old with some interesting buildings to look at. There is also a strange castle here. If you get there before Christmas stop at the library and give a donation. The funds for the...

Beautiful calm, turquoise bay. The actual settlement was quite 'buzzing' as we passed through. Selection of convenience stores, bars and restaurants.
It was just a quick visit, but somewhere I'd like to explore more! Very friendly people and a place to find a nice spot and just enjoy life while looking at a beautiful bay.
Love this town. The people are so very nice here. It is very cute and colorful in this town. Not a huge town, but bigger than most on Eleuthera. Dock is a very pretty site!!
Kingsley's place was fantastic. Excelent snorkeling, eating, music and good times with good friends. Breath taking views....
It's a cute fishing village, but we drove from Hut Point specifically to buy fish at the docks, and all they had was conch. We actually bought a large grouper from the dock in Governor's Harbour...much closer to home....
I guess if you are only passing through, one would not regard Tarpum Bay as special. However, the community is fascinatng. Aside from the fish dock; there is the oldest church on the island, The Anglican Church; there is the interesting McMillan Castle on the hill above the sea;and the recently refurbished Arts and Cultural Center which almost always has...

Our son, who is 19, came with us to Eleuthera, a trip of a lifetime for us! We wanted to see every inch of the island so we had a rental car. Our son had a saying for bad smells, "It smells like Tarpum Bay!" I think they must have piles of rotting fish along the water so the place...

If you have only driven through and not stopped, you have missed one of Eleuthera's tresures. This is a tourist friendly settlement. The fish dock, like the one in Governor's Harbor of course will smell fishy, but the winds don't bring that smell ashore. It is fascinating to watch the fishers bring in their catch.
There are several good spots...

There is a nice beach to walk and snorkel to swim just North of town. Nick brings his catch in from 3-5pm. Ask for the hogfish.
It is a small, quite, little beach town. Not much in the way of tourist attractions or accommodations. The beach is very nice and secluded. The nearest airport is Rock Sound.
