No charge to climb the 100+ stairs to the top of the lighthouse. Squeeze through the small door to go out onto the deck and gaze at the incredible 360 Degree view of Abaco and Hope Town. If you go around dusk, you can watch (and maybe help) light and wind the light!

After a 100+ stair climb to the top of this lighthouse, you will see amazing views of the island and Hope Town. It is amazing that this is free! Our 9 year old daughter absolutely loved the spiral staircase and being able to walk outside once you get to the top. There is a small convenience store nearby, as well... More

Fun, great views, not a difficult walk for fit people, and you can eat at restaurant nearby. On it's own point but pontoon boat can take you there or ferry

The door's open and you're welcome to climb the classic spiral staircase to the top of this wonderful old lighthouse. Peeking out the windows, you get a marvelous view of the sea dotted with sailboats. You can study the complex mechanism that creates the light that guides sailors at night. Even a brief visit is a treat for all!

The only manned kerosene-powered lighthouse left in existence anywhere in the world. You can climb the stairs to the top and walk out onto the platform to get fantastic views of the surrounding islands. This is a relic from the early 1800's and is still used today, lit by hand every evening by the lighthouse keepers who live on-site. Incredible... More

Watch a fun place to go. WE walked up and took lots of pictures of the absolutely spectacular view. It is breathtaking up there. Not a bad climb to the top either.

It was a long walk up but completely worth the view you see once you get there; although getting out onto the outside platform is a bit of a challenge.

I took my Grandson at age 4 years. He was enthralled. We return to Abaco every year, so he remembers the lighthouse. We talk about it and he feels especially lucky to have met Dave Gale, who was instrumental in preserving the lighthouse.

I loved the view from the top and the age of the lighthouse. I did not like the walk up or down I have a bad knee. Good exercise if my knee would have been happier
