It's a great place to walk and relax seeing some animals and nature. They have a nice restaurant and the staff are really friendly.
We stopped by for a late lunch and couldn't have been happier! What a place to eat! The atmosphere with the birds and foliage is amazing. There was a great blue heron (Wally) walking around the grounds while we ate beside a small pond. And ducks all over the place! It was so fun. The staff even fished out a... More
This was a stop on Bus Tour which I would have preferred to spend more time at, instead of "Souvenir drops". There were some nice souvenir places at the Garden and not so much pressure to purchase. The church was clean, sweet and simple as is the garden. Informed staff willing to share info to add to your trip...very pleasant.... More
This was an excursion from a cruise I was on and so glad I went. The gardens were beautiful, the staff so friendly and informative. It was nice to see something "real" rather than something just for the tourists, if that makes sense.
Check out the old church and the labyrinth where you walk to find your "center". Lots of walkways and places to sit and appreciate the beautiful surroundings. We went on a day when it was sort of drizzling rain and misty, very relaxing.
This stop was a cruise excursion option and one I am glad we took. If you want something that is different from the shopping and the beaches and casinos and you want to learn a little history of the Bahamian Islands, this is a lovely and relaxing option. Friendly and helpful staff who obviously care a great for the Garden.... More
This was a stop during a cruise excursion. It was very small, but what we did get to see was pretty cool. Good cold SANDS beer at the café there!
Our guide was very knowledgble about the groves and passionate about the conservation. Lots of vegetation, ducks, fish & birds. Nice chapel located on a small bluff that was quaint and historical. There were also tourist trap shops located in a little shopping area. Two hours was all we needed for the tour.
Seems this place has suffered from the economy of the island, lots of stuff not working like the water falls, actual full exhibits incomplete or missing... Very friendly people and the birds are cool, but not much else to see...
