This is a beautiful spot when it is not over-crowded. We have been twice with a charter, and the first time it was definitely too busy due to the number of boats that came in around the same time. This time there was no one there when we arrived, we were able to enjoy some fantastic snorkeling (much better than...

This was my second trip on the Lambada to Prickly Pear. (April 2) The catamaran trip took about 2 hours to get to Prickly pear. It was a pretty windy day and we werent sure how that would play into our snorkling but it was nice calm water were we anchored. Really good snorkling! then we just swam to the...

We took the Lambada over for morning snorkeling, then BBQ on the beach. Snorkeling was good, but the water was quite choppy. Food was fantastic!
went with a booze cruise tour which was fun, but the snokelling here was excellent - calm with lots of fish and eels (look hard in the crevaces)..all very safe.
Been there with my sailboat, with family and friends. The islands, the beach and the water are like a postcard. The snorkeling is excellent on the far reef; lots and lots of fish (and big fish). A dream come true.
And then, the nightmare: the arrival of five huge catamarans with about 60 tourists each on board. Beach suddenly full...

We went on a boat ride to this location. The catamaran was lovely. We enjoyed the day but don't come here for great snorkeling. The fish were virtually MIA and although the water was nice, don't think that you will see colorful Caribbean fish not here. Go for the trip and relaxation.
Went to Prickly Pear by catamaran. A beautiful white sand beach: swimming is lovely, snorkeling is OK , coral reef is not in good shape, but still some fish to be seen. Very secluded, palm trees and a bar and restaurant, which we didn,t try.
We did this trip on our own from a private catamaran but I would highly encourage taking this trip by any means possible. The beaches can't be compared to anywhere! Absolutely pristine and stunning!
So pretty, very secluded, truly feels like paradise. Chairs and umbrellas available. A bar for drinks, and a restaurant with good food. Swimming is nice, snorkeling is ok.
