We cycled round the top of the canton rim. The views are good, the paths are good, and there were toiilets half way along. There were a lot of people at the viewpoints, but there's not really any getting away from that.

We took a shuttle out to Pima Point to start our hike (most people start at Hermit's Rest but we had walked between Hermit's Rest and Pima Point the day before). The trail between Pima Point and Monument Creek Vista is mostly through a forested area. You won't see the rim the majority of time. I mention this so you... More

We hiked about eight miles on the rim trail and found it to be just incredible. If you want to experience the Grand Canyon , this is a great way to do it.

Get up early and catch the free shuttle for the western end of the rim trail towards Hermits Rest. Take the bus to the first lookout, then walk for a few stops. Then take the shuttle again, but do stop at every overlook. They are all different and definitely worth the time. BUT do this early in the morning before... More

Pick which stretches you want to hike, and work it out with the RED buses! They go in both directions, and come and go every few minutes.

We walked along the rim trail and the vantage points are breathtaking, you walk 100 ft and your view completely changes. Absolutely amazing!

The rim trail is advertised as the one for inexperienced hikers, but there's really much more to it than that. Sure, you can definitely have your easiest hike around the South rim with spectacular views, but you can also traverse to various different historical building along your way. The rim lodges are located here, so you don't need a car.... More

This is a beautiful trail which starts at the south rim and goes all the way to Hermit Rest. It is approx 7 mile trail. There are about 7-8 stops with viewing areas and some of them have benches to sit and enjoy the beauty. If you get tired, don't worry there is a shuttle that runs every 10-15 minutes... More

This is Grand Canyon the easy way. You can hike for hours and the ups and downs are moderate. You are not out in the canyon, so you don't get to see the escarpments up close, but you get many panoramas. My favorite is Pima Point.

Easy trail to walk. We stayed close to the rim next to the El Tovar. It was easy to get to the trail and very safe. We had been hiking down at Sedona and found this trail to be easy and anyone can give it a try.
