You just can't beat Mother Nature when it comes to beauty. A surprise awaits you around every corner. Be sure to stop in the right lane along the drive and allow your senses to reset because there is just so much sensory overload. You can even find the most delicate little flowers in the roadside ditches. More

The park loop road is a fabulous scenic drive. It has stops at a variety of views, but you can always just pull over in the right lane to check things out. The free park shuttle does this route, which you can incorporate with some hiking paths. Try to visit under different weather conditions, since the view is ever-changing. More

Truly amazing. Make sure you make it to the top (Cadillac Mountain). Definitely more enjoyable on a clearer day beacuse the fog may spoil some views on higher elevation. More

Picking up a self-guided auto tour CD, we toured the park loop at our own leisurely pace. While we missed peak fall colors, we were delighted with the scenic areas of the park. I have traveled to most of the national parks in the US and this is one of my favorites.
