The drive on the Park Loop Road is so very beautiful! There are pull-off where you can take photos of the surf and rocks! More

I definitely recommend taking this Loop. It was beautiful, the fall colors were outstanding this year. We did not schedule near enough time to visit Acadia and plan to go back and spend more time in another visit. More

Before I visited Acadia, many people warned me about this boring one-way road in the park that if you missed an exit you will have to drive around 20 miles to come back. What a stupid design! Yet when I came to the park, this road was Perfect. What were those people thinking? I've traversed the entirety of the stunning... More

You just can't beat Mother Nature when it comes to beauty. A surprise awaits you around every corner. Be sure to stop in the right lane along the drive and allow your senses to reset because there is just so much sensory overload. You can even find the most delicate little flowers in the roadside ditches. More

The park loop road is a fabulous scenic drive. It has stops at a variety of views, but you can always just pull over in the right lane to check things out. The free park shuttle does this route, which you can incorporate with some hiking paths. Try to visit under different weather conditions, since the view is ever-changing. More

Truly amazing. Make sure you make it to the top (Cadillac Mountain). Definitely more enjoyable on a clearer day beacuse the fog may spoil some views on higher elevation. More

Picking up a self-guided auto tour CD, we toured the park loop at our own leisurely pace. While we missed peak fall colors, we were delighted with the scenic areas of the park. There was ample parking available at each viewpoint. We began at 9 am and spent the morning touring, ending at Bar Harbor for an afternoon of shopping.... More

I have traveled to most of the national parks in the US and this is one of my favorites. Just doing the drive is nice but I highly reccomend getting out and hiking at a lo of the pull offs. 2 of my favorite trails are the beehive traile and the precipice trail. Getting out and walking along sand beach... More

We love Acadia National Park and recently camped at Seawall within the NP. It was extremely clean and we thoroughly enjoyed our wooded site. We camped with cousins who are experienced hikers. If you are reasonably fit, you must take the 3 1/4 mile hike around Jordan Pond. The first half is a boardwalk with the need to maneuver around... More
