At Readings we've seen movies in the standard, XC and the Gold Lounge cinemas...all provide an excellent level of comfort and viewing enjoyment. My only complaint is the price...almost $20 a ticket for a movie is a bit rich.

The only advantage about this cinema is it's location in Charlestown Square. It's overpriced and over-rated, and I would rather drive across the road to the recently upgraded Hoyts and pay $9.90, which is far more reasonably priced.

It will be hard to view a movie any other way now. We decided to see the Hobbit on the big screen. Seeing as we dont go to the movies all that often we didced to do it in a bit a style. Recliner chairs with a bottle of red, brilliant!

A trip to the flicks, is a must for me. These cinemas are the newest in the Hunter Valley, offering Gold Class, V Max and regular cinemas. Tickets for the regular cinema are $17. Seats are comfy & 4 hrs parking is given if you get your ticket validated @ candy bar.

The theatres are quite new to the area and in the extensions to the Charlestown shopping centre. We have been and tested most of the theatres eg gold lounge, 3d and the normal ones.. you guessed it we liked the gold lounge best of all and there is also a great selection of food as well.

It was an average theatre but nothing to rave about, with average seating with tied decor and limited selection of movies. Parking was not the easiest

My husband and I have been to Reading Cinemas Charlestown Gold Class a few times now and I could never go back to watching a movie in a regular cinema anymore. It's only about $10 more than a regular cinema price and it is SO worth the money! The service is excellent, the private bar area is a classy place... More

Reading Cinemas is the standout cinema in the Newcastle and Hunter region. We went on their discount Tuesday, $11 per ticket, pretty good value for 2 hours entertainment. The cinemas are new and well appointed, featuring big comfy seats, excellent leg room, huge screens and excellent digital projection. It helps if the movie is good and we enjoyed ours very... More
