Visiting Meteora was the highlight of our trip through Greece, Bulgaria and Serbia. The hiking is faily easy despite what anyone may say. You need a good pair of shoes, lots of motivation and enjoy the monestaries! Entry is 2€ per monestary!
No need to enter, for us just hiking and taking photos from outside was more than enough. That...

Amazing place that allows everyone to experience the grandeur of the nature ! Pictures can't describe even the half of its beauty. It's easy to access most of the monasteries by car but be prepared for the turns :)
The views and landscape are more amazing in person than on tv or in photos. It was easy to access all the trails and monasteries by car. May had great weather for hiking, even though there were periods of rain sometimes in the day its better than hiking in sun and extreme heat. May is a great time to visit...

A must see part of northern Greece, do not miss it under any circumstances. Every turn of the road brings another gasp of admiration. Take your camera, take lots of photos and they will all be beautiful. You will not see views like this every day.
This was by far my favourite Greek spot. I liked it more than the islands (Mykonos, Santorini, etc) and more than Athens, Delphi, Nafpaktos and many other places visited.
It is MAGICAL and breathtaking (I am NOT exaggerating!!) when you get to see the gigantic mountains. We actually enjoyed this drive a LOT because the view was so beautiful. The...
