Amazing place that allows everyone to experience the grandeur of the nature ! Pictures can't describe even the half of its beauty. It's easy to access most of the monasteries by car but be prepared for the turns :)

The views and landscape are more amazing in person than on tv or in photos. It was easy to access all the trails and monasteries by car. The monasteries are so nice. But unlike 99% of the visitors, try to approach them on foot. Climb the hills and see snakes, turtles and beautifull views you never get to see when driving.

We stayed in Kalambaka so were able to go to the monasteries before the crowds. So beautiful and interesting! We saw Meteora, st Stephens, and Valhaam. Well worth the trip.

A must see part of northern Greece, do not miss it under any circumstances. Every turn of the road brings another gasp of admiration. Take your camera, take lots of photos and they will all be beautiful. You will not see views like this every day.

This was by far my favourite Greek spot. I liked it more than the islands (Mykonos, Santorini, etc) and more than Athens, Delphi, Nafpaktos and many other places visited.
