The advertising leaflet for this place looks very interesting and tempting: the reality falls well short. So many places in the world do the "reproduction of a medieval/stone-age/historical village" extremely well: one tends to expect a high standard, so this is doubly disappointing. It is lifeless, uninteresting, small and so obviously phoney: far too shiny clean and I suspect not... More

My family thoroughly enjoyed our visit. Admission was very cheap, we were given a personalised guided tour by a volunteer English speaking guide and the museum is fabulous. Great attention to detail and an interactive learning experience of history.

If you wanna learn about Japanese history especially Edo era which is well known as samurai, this is the right place to visit!

We intended to go to this museum, but at the nearby subway station, located a small sign indicating the museum was closed for repairs from July 2009 until July 2010. The sign was in Japanese and we were fortunate to spot it. This sounds like a great attraction and a great value, we will check it out and review it... More
