Gardens easy to follow well layed out. Plenty of noisy ducks, geese,hens follow you around with your $1 feed bag. Some native trees but most not signed which was needed. Stayed for Waitangi weekend to attend a wedding. Owner is not friendly or helpful and was dishonest with pricing. Charged credit card with disputed amount and without permission and does not give you any paperwork. We stayed at the Lodge for 2 nights and we were glad we upgraded from an Estate Room to a Villa. Very clean, tastefully furnished and kitchen and bathroom were nicely fitted out.
