I volunteer as a nature guide at the Ano Nuevo State Reserve showing people the elephant seals 2 days monthly and stay at this motel. The staff is very friendly and accomodating. I'm pretty into atmosphere so this place didn't impress me much. I'm not sure if it's a chain, but it sure felt like one. This stretch of paved walkway is always beautiful. Be nice to the cyclists and other groups and walk on the right side. The quintessential Santa Cruz place. more
