Stayed at the Radisson Blu Athlone recently. Really nice hotel, big spacious reception/foyer, friendly staff, room was really nice. It was lovely overlooking river Shannon. Large & spotless. Was a rainy. cold winter's evening and the welcome was so warm and memorable. The food was exceptional - we went for the early bird with some wine and it was just perfect. We had soup and fishcakes for starters and then homemade burgers. The food was just great and the atmosphere so romantic. Would love to visit this place... more
Had such a nice meal here recently. The starters were very nice and my fish main course was so tasty. The staff were just great, my only complaint would be my husband's filet steak was much smaller than expected - that is the priceiest item on the menu at nearly 28 euro. Still enjoyed this restaurant very much. would go... more
