An excellent dinner this evening. We especially recommend the octopus in the Portuguese style and the zabaglione made with Madeira 'and a little brandy'. A 3 course dinner for 2 with a good Douro wine cost €78 and there were complimentary aperitifs and brandy. Highly recommended. more
We stayed there for six nights in February. We felt really welcome when arriving at the hotel. They gave us different brochures and maps. The room had a very nice view but other than that nothing special. We were surprised to learn that it cost €10 to rent a bath rope in a hotel with a spa and swimming pools.... more
