to watch it snow and the canals freeze. In Amsterdam in January for a trade show at the RAI. -10C with wind chills of -20C all week, but the hotel and staff were up to it. There is a lot more to the Anne Frank House than I had expected. The videos of Miep Gies, and the friends of the Franks, really helped make this more personal for me. The darkness of the rooms is hard to convey. Visitors should know how tiny and very steep the many stairs are. We arrived right at the opening... more
