Stayed here on a business trip in the winter. Love that you can have control of your heat in the winter. There is a super cute balcony that would be lovely in the summer I imagine. The Royal obviously is trying to retain some sort of old school style of luxury. I found the room a bit cramped and cold. The food was very expensive, but I don't count that against the Royal since that is obviously what you are looking for when you stay at a Barriere property. A real old-fashioned GRAND hotel in the best manner of speaking, very well maintained in the public areas, an impeccable room, very clean bathroom too! All the men and women working in this hotel did their best to make you feel welcome, they all greeted you with a smile ! Many hotelmanagers could follow courses here to learn their personel... more
