We had our wedding here last Saturday and it truly was the most perfect day! The staff are just unbelievable, the tiny details that they attend to, truly make everything simply sensational. Would highly recommend a visit to the Castle Tavern, we had a great night and George the owner was such a super host and very friendly, along with all the staff.....added bonus that we all got a plate of Stovies courtesy of the pub...they were the best 'Stovies' i have ever tasted...yum!!! A visit is a must to this super... more
The service here is polite, but possibly the slowest in the UK. The place was almost empty when we were there but it still took an hour for the starters to arrive, and then another 30 mins for the mains. We ran out of time for dessert! The food was edible but nothing special - certainly not worth the wait.... more
